John Drake has loved working as a development officer for more than three decades. 

Since 2000 and as president of the Baylor Scott & White Irving Foundation (which is located in the mid-cities located between Dallas and Fort Worth), he has led the foundation’s team in raising nearly $50 million dollars to help keep people in his community healthy. 

John’s undergraduate degree is from Stephen F. Austin State University and his master’s degree is from Dallas Baptist University. In 2005, he earned his Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation and in 2019 he attained the Fellow of the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy designation. FAHP is highest professional accreditation offered by that association and it is held by only 2 percent of its 5,000 members.
